The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Fighters Party

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a colorful mix of heroes, and a gripping narrative featuring celestial beings, fiends, and malevolent powers increasing in strength within the urban setting.

Heads-up: Spoilers for the latest installment of this adventure are included.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

The latest chapter finished on a dramatic pause and introduced the initial group of adventurers who will separate from the central cast to embark on their separate journey, apart from the additional parties.

The combat-focused team features the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis), Thimble (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan (the actor).

The Reason for Division

Given an extensive roster, it was obvious from the start that keeping everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

This explains, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Overture, connecting the individual narratives before splitting into three distinct groups: Warriors, Strategists, and Questers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

Per the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for participants who enjoy a classically intense combat and conflict-driven narrative style where non-violent answers are rare.

At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the developments of the third episode make it clear why these five characters are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the group understands precisely where to proceed after a violent opening clash with the enemy group.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose passing started the campaign’s events—exploited the foes for his personal gain, invading the hidden lair, striking the character, and taking all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The antagonist then paid off his debts and escaped to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd close behind.

Personal Motivations

Additionally, each adventurer has a personal reason to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and trusted friend, seeks revenge.
  • Kattigan has experience in the northern area and warns that it is a dangerous environment.
  • The strong character and The healer, having resisted his house’s orders to kill the fighter and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their status as prominent individuals in the powerful family could help the party reach locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, The grateful character swore a life debt to The cleric for his salvation and will now follow him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are sought by the powers that rule Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making remaining behind too risky:

  • The rogue and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and The healer betrayed the influential house and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by House Halovar.

This results in them little choice but to head to Timmony in quest for Casimir.

Future Episodes

Based on the recent installment’s follow-up content, we find out that the Soldiers table will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight players to form the Questers and Strategists groups.

Fans can look forward to learning which adventurers will be in which group in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, available to watch on October 24.
