WHere is an easy take on a cocktail found on the seasonal drinks list. This is a batch prepared mix that is loaded with the essence of the Christmas time, rendering it excellent for hosting a holiday party. Any leftover citrus syrup for morning drinks, desserts, or to make another batch of bikinis.

Serves 10 guests
Ingredients for the Clementine Syrup (produces 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
To make the Cocktail (yields 850ml, to serve 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml citrus syrup (as made above)
Fresh cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Instructions
To prepare the Citrus Syrup: Place all the items inside a pot, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Then, turn off the heat and let it to cool entirely. Pour into a sterilised bottle, cap it keeping it chilled, it can be stored for about four weeks.
For the Premix: Pour every spirits and syrup into a big jug, allow it to infuse for an hour, then pass it through preferably using muslin, so it's completely strained.
To serve: Measure 85ml from the cocktail base to a stirring glass filled with ice, and stir carefully for one minute until cold. Strain into an frosted cocktail glass or similar, garnish with a few cranberries and finish with a brief mist with the mandarin essence above the glass.
